SpaceGuard SG18 Light Curtain Series

{"id":24,"user_id":2,"categories_id":4,"title":"SpaceGuard SG18 Light Curtain Series","slug":"spaceguard-sg18-light-curtain-series","parent":"news","excerpt":"The new SpaceGuard SG18 series is a next generation high performance self-contained, cross-scanning beam light curtain","content":"<p>The SpaceGuard SG18 series is the next generation of self-contained, high performance light curtain system from Telco Sensors.\r\n\t<br>\r\n\t<br>The complete system consists of transmitter, SGT and receiver, SGR which are positioned opposite of each other, generating a dense array of cross scanning infrared beams.\r\n\t<br>\r\n\t<br>The series is available in lengths ranging from 710 to 2510 mm. The total number of channels ranges between 14 to 54, depending on the chosen length, with a 45 mm spacing between all channels.\r\n\t<br>\r\n\t<br>The SG18 series is housed in ultra compact and sturdy black anodised aluminium profiles with a small 12x14 mm (w x d) cross section, ensuring a suitable fit in even the most space-limited installations. All electronics are fully potted\/encapsulated in the profiles, ensuring IP67 rating and a very robust construction. The light curtains include plastic mounting clips for quick and easy snap-in fixture. Alternatively a choice of 3 different stainless steel mounting clips are available. The SG18 is optionally available with integral front mounting holes - upon request. The light curtains can be fitted with a front cover accessory that snaps on and provides additional protection of the optoelectronic components and easy-to-clean front surface.\r\n\t<br>\r\n\t<br>The SG18 includes an advanced automatic signal-tracking (AST) feature that ensures that no onsite set up nor adjustments are required. The signal of each individual channel is adjusted automatically which compensates for misalignment and contamination during operation. Specialised signal processing technology, designed for outdoor environments, reduces the risk of false detections of water, rain or snow that may pass between the light curtains during operation. Moreover, the light curtains offer a 12m sensing range and a 100.000 lux light immunity, which makes it highly versatile and suitable for almost any access control application.\r\n\t<br>\r\n\t<br>The series features a Master\/Slave multiplexing function that allows two sets of SG18 light curtains to be configured together, which prevents optical cross-talk interference between the light curtain sets.\r\n\t<br>\r\n\t<br>The system is supplied with a 12-30 V dc power supply and available with an opto-isolated solid state output, with wire selectable LO\/DO. The light curtains are assembled with 30 cm colour-coded pigtails with a moulded M8 plug and corresponding 5m extension cables. Other lengths are available upon request.\r\n\t<br>\r\n\t<br>The SGT includes a test input that may be used for either disabling or enabling the transmitting power temporarily for test purposes or for set up of the static blanking function, allowing a selection of coherent beams to be permanently ignored. Four different test input configurations are available upon request.\r\n\t<br>\r\n\t<br>The light curtains can be monitored via bright LED indicators positioned in the front of the profile.
